We are committed to working together to change the trajectory of young Latinas through an ecosystem of culturally-relevant learning and support for their ambitious personal achievement and capacity to lead community-first, grassroots movements for equality, and create a positive impact on our collective future.
"Despite young Latinas’ importance to our collective future, our young women are lacking opportunities tailored to their cultural and community needs. Latina Leaders x Design® will bring young Latinas together to identify and address a real-world social challenge.
We know they can make transformational change in their communities, so this isn’t just a thought exercise – we’ll bring business, academic, and social leaders from their communities to help them implement the solution they design."Eva Longoria
Latina Leaders x Design® is a growing initiative envisioned by a coalition of Henry Ford Learning Institute, the Eva Longoria Foundation, and Momento Latino. In early 2022, Latina Leaders x Design® was named one of 34 selected projects to receive funds from the Google.org Impact Challenge for Women and Girls, and one of 6 U.S. projects selected for funding cohort out of nearly 8,000 applications globally.
"Over my past two years as a Latina Leader, I have learned about business, what it means to be a leader, how I can work in a group efficiently, and to be less shy when presenting and talking. The mentors are so understanding and kind people, so it’s very easy to learn and understand everything.”
